Vector HD : Arcade-Style Running Game on iPad

Vector is an arcade-style running game where you play as the runner trying to escape from the assassin who is trying to nab you. In the start-up menu, there are various tricks you need to learn to avoid being captured.

The game has techno music as part of the entertainment package. The game is fast-paced and there is no room for mistakes to be made. Either you make it to the finishing line or you are being captured. The music creates tension while you are struggling to navigate the character through finger gestures.

I feel the game trains the gamer to be a ninja who is capable of different lifelike Parkour-inspired moves made possible by Cascadeur animation tools. There are 30 or more challenging levels where you can test your real skills. The game is easy to pick up but challenging to master.

One disadvantage of this game is that it does not allow you to change the game controls. You have to pick up all the gestures like how to make your character jump or slide. The game is similar to temple run type of games. If you loved temple run, you can try out this game. I never purchase any in-app purchases yet to play this game. If I fail in a level, I will keep trying till I succeed. There is no chance for the main character to fight when he is being caught by the assassin. I feel the developer can include a special level where the gamer actually can fight against the attacker instead of being captured so easily.

Vector is available as separate download for iPhone and iPad versions. If you have a iPad, I will suggest you try out the iPad HD version. The game is worth the download if you are into platform running games. I must say I am pretty much addicted to the iPad version because of the quality soundtracks that comes with the game. Each of the levels is a challenge for me to master like a kungfu expert. I will recommend anyone to pick up this game as it is a challenging game.
