Fruit Ninja has been known for its finger agility over the years while Flappy Bird for its level of difficulty. What if a game was developed that combined the best of both games for you, while adding a fun factor to the equation? Sort It, developed by Frenzy Cat Ltd, is that game for you. While the name does not suggest anything unique or special, it is not until you begin playing it that the fun factor sets in.

The basic app concept is extremely basic. There are packages falling from the top of your screen, seeming to appear out of nowhere. You have to classify them into the four corners marked on the screen as per their color. The price of inserting a package into the wrong corner is a hefty one. It results in the loss of one out of three lives.

If you think the game is simple after hearing about the concept, then you yet are to hear about the challenges that add a twist in the tale. The first twist comes in the form of bombs dropping down your screen. These bombs will blow up in a matter of five seconds, scattering the packages randomly, even into the wrong corners. The minute a package touches the bomb, it will explode and surely cause you to lose a life.

If you miss out on sorting packages, they pile up at the bottom of your screen. Once 25 packages pile up, you get an ‘Overload’ warning, following which you are given 5 seconds to clear all of it up. If you fail, the game is over. These piles can prove to be messy especially when a bomb appears on the screen.

As in Fruit Ninja, there is a special Frenzy Mode that you can enter by tapping on the glowing package. It brings a rush of packages for you to sort out as fast as possible. The whole point of this mode is to bring a rush of points to you. Additionally, you get bonus points for sending multiple packages into the right corners at the same time, also known as Streaking.

Another interesting feature of the game is that while the gameplay is simple, the design is such that you cannot get used to it easily. While each game has 4 colors, these are not fixed throughout. These colors are randomly chosen from a set f 15 colors. This way, the games remain fresh and fun each time you play.

Besides the game and the fun, the app has been developed and designed very well too. There are colourful, detailed 3D graphics to give the game a bright and attractive look. Also, there are electrifying sound effects and pleasing music at the same time.

The catch of the game is that it is not only fun but highly addictive too. The simple game with so many twists is sure to keep you hooked for hours on end. It is available for free on the App Store for all iOS devices having iOS 6.0 or higher. If you have some free time to kill and like challenges, then this app is for you.
